Box

The Trippen Box collection features modern interpretations of platform soles, where the contact surface has been reduced to two cuboids. The rubber sole is sewn to the upper using a thick yarn. With the objective of simplifying the product´s subsequent disposal, the seam between the sole and the shaft can be unravelled easily. Both parts - sole and shaft - can be recycled separately.

The soles´ rubber material and the embedded air chambers provide optimal shock absorption, while the full grain leather insole stabilises the construction and guarantees an excellent fit. Thus the Box collection was awarded with the Good Design Award 2009 and nominated for the German Design Award 2011.

The soles´ formal inspiration is derived from a deconstruction of the platform, while their height was inspired by contemporary basketball high tops. In this range, too, men´s styles come up about one size larger that usual.
The variety of styles ranges from simple lace up boots and rather adventurous designs to fashionable high and tight boots.
The different patterns are based on the luxurious qualities of unusually soft leathers, on elementary geometrical shapes, are composed of multiple overlays and asymmetrically arranged pieces or constitute folding experiments in the style of the Japanese art of »Origami«.
